Ironman Race Entry Cancellation Insurance

From 2012, Nirvana Europe are delighted to include Race Entry Cancellation Insurance for all European Ironman and 70.3 accommodation bookings or event packages (otherwise where stated).

This insurance will cover the athlete (residents within the EU only) should they require to cancel their Ironman entry slot and withdraw from the race.

The Cover

Entry Slot Cancellation will be paid as a result of the following (for an insured person or insured travelling companion)

- Death
- Accidental bodily injury
- Illness
- Compulsory quarantine
- Cancellation of leave for national forces, police or government security staff
- Court summons
- Adverse weather conditions making it impossible to travel to the event
- Major damage or burglary at  the insured persons home, or place of business, requiring your presence by the emergency services.

The race entry cancellation insurance starts from the issue date of your booking and ends when the insured person starts the event.

All claims must be made in English, including all supporting documentation, and notice must be given within 45 days of the date of occurrence. Each claim is subject to a nil excess, and must be accompanied by a medical certificate or official documentation justifying the athlete's withdrawal. The claims handling company will be able to advise you of the correct documentation needed to support your claim.

The insured person must comply with all the terms and conditions stated in the policy document to have the full protection of their policy.
